I don't know how you found that pic of me to work from, as I don't have many online, but that was taken a few years back & was so small and grainy that I think you did a great job with what you had to work with!
{I can't do portraits, but I have been attempting someusing my art programming, which is a little easier for me than when I try to use pencils or paint since my accident when I severed my wrist. Due to nerve damage & a neuroma now, I have a problem handling brushes and pencils for portrait work, so I stick to land and seascapes, which are easier for me.
